My family and I have come here twice now since finding this place earlier this year. It's a fantastic place for camping, Rv's, cabins and they even have proper hotel rooms if that's more your style. My kids have the best time playing in their park, using the waterslide and playing on the beach, which is right across the street. We are already planning a return trip to spend even more time here. The prices can't be beat and the ice cream shop down the street is awesome. I highly recommend this location

Great view. $140 for the night. Nothing fancy just the basics. Beds were clean and comfortable. Don't expect it to be like the Holiday Inn or Best Western :-)

Paid a deposit for an RV site for a July 2026 stay, paid a 850$ deposit. Advised if I no showed on July 1st it would not be refunded. Informed them that due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel the trip. They were advised in May that I was unable to make the trip providing over a month of notice, they are refusing to refund my deposit. Had to engage bank to refund deposit payment. Very poor service, and I don'tt trust them.

People and location descriptions both are fake. There is no pool or water park. Bedsheets, microwave oven, stove we all found dirty. No room service. We stayed there 2 nights. It was really inconvenient. Stove is outdated and rusty. We found dried and rotten food in microwave oven. Even they charge me $100 without any information, contact or reason. It is very hard to get a hold of them. I should have taken more photos of every detail. And now they are threatening for giving the review.

I recently wrapped up work on the island and decided to spend my free weekend exploring. I ended up camping for a couple of nights at this resort, they offer campsite and cabin, I chose the campsite, it turned out to be a great choice. The stay was peaceful, scenic, and perfectly suited for anyone looking to unwind in a quiet, relaxing environment. ? Pros Location — Right on the seashore with a calm atmosphere, set a little away from the busy areas so you can truly relax. Views — Beautiful ocean and mountain views, plus well?maintained gardens, flowers, and a nice playground. Facilities — Full-service amenities including a game room, party room, washrooms, showers, and a laundry room. Nearby attractions — Close to several great spots like Horne Lake, the caves, and local trails—perfect for outdoor lovers. Convenience — A good base for exploring points of interest in the north part of the island. Local produce — Near local farms, making it easy to pick up fresh eggs and other farm goods. Peaceful vibe — Ideal for travelers who want a quiet, peaceful vacation away from crowds. ?? Cons Distance — A bit of a drive to major shops and services. Beach type — The shoreline in front of the resort is rocky rather than sandy, so it’s not a typical beach for swimming. ?? Final Thoughts Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. The peaceful setting, great views, and solid facilities made it a relaxing place to unwind after work. With nearby attractions like Horne Lake, the caves, and scenic trails, it’s a great spot for anyone who enjoys nature and quiet surroundings. While it’s a little removed from major businesses and the beach is rocky, the atmosphere and convenience for exploring the island more than make up for it. I’d happily stay here again.

"Qualicum Bay Resort made our stay truly memorable. The friendly, helpful staff welcomed us warmly, and the peacocks were a charming bonus. The cabin was cozy, with two comfortable beds and warm seasonal bedding. Everything was spotless, from the bathroom to the fully stocked kitchen. The location is perfect — right across from the Salish Sea and close to a grocery store — all at a great price."

On Sept 9 & 10, 2025, we were booked into Cottage #5 at your resort. We used the cottage the nite of the 9th but did not return for the 10th due to the deplorable conditions of this cottage. Specifically, the shower stall had black mold in all corners and rails, the shower door was thick with scale, and there were insects, hairballs and remnants of food under and behind the living room sofa. The attached pictures show this. In addition, one of the smoke alarms was missing, there was food smeared on the bedroom door, the fire extinguisher outside the entrance was inoperable, and the restaurant (Henry’s) was an abandoned eyesore. The person at the reception office had the cleaner person attend to these issues quickly but of course anyone would wonder why these conditions existed at all when apparently this cottage had been renovated just 2 years earlier. The bottom line is……..this resort is a disgrace, does not live up to the website ratings and we feel totally ripped off.

We stayed in unit 6.bedrooms nice although dusty under bed. Bathroom clean. Could only find 1 plug in right bedroom on real bed location right beside bed, knocked out plug from cap machine by turning etc . Danger location could start fire by breaking plug etc. Kitchen, filthy table cloth, had to wash it first, . Found only 1 big pot with not matching lid, 1 frying pan, was not possible to cook meal had to go out for dinner not cheap. Told office lady about it second day, answer I got was why did I say something earlier. My a? To her, does it not to be job from staff to make sure everything is ok? Never got real answer, except felt she was blaming me, told me to check drawer under stove, which I did but could not find more. Other done that kitchen clean. My guest and I felt cost of unit to high for what we got and after season. I know resort for long time, was way different then. Hope it will improve again, we like it up here.

The standards at this facility are unacceptable. Key amenities such as the pond and water slide have been “under repair” for over a year yet continue to be advertised, with no adjustment in pricing to reflect what is actually available. Rooms are dirty, lights often don’t work, and the overall condition shows a clear neglect of basic upkeep. Management refuses accountability, instead deflecting concerns back onto guests. What may once have been a decent resort has become a mismanaged, run-down property. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. *cue the owner replying to this review to release any responsibility and to blame all complaints on us, the guests*
