Reserved for a 10:30am birthday brunch. We did arrive at 10:20am. So even giving grace for the 10 minutes early. At 10:45 am I had to ask the wait staff cleaning the table beside us to bring some water and ordered a tea and coffee. We hadn’t even received it when the biggest table was receiving their waters at the same time as they ordered drinks AND their meal. When we heard them say that they better order it all together cause they might not see their waitress again. We cancelled our drinks and left for a cafe. When I tried to tell the hotel staff, they seemed not to care as soon as I told them we weren’t staying in the hotel. Your restaurant is still a reflection of your service.

Beautiful resort. Comfortable rooms with an ocean view. Wonderful sunsets from the balcony. Loved the outdoor pool. Food was delicious. Friendly and helpful staff. A nice relaxing getaway. Can't wait to go back!

We had a wonderful stay at Bayside Oceanfront Resort. The ocean view was absolutely gorgeous, and the service throughout our stay was warm and welcoming. Our room was very comfortable, clean, and relaxing, with thoughtful touches like a Nespresso machine and coffee capsules included. The hotel offers both indoor and outdoor pools, easy access to the bay, and beautiful spaces to relax. We especially enjoyed the gourmet restaurant and the cozy coffee shop on site. There is also stunning artwork displayed throughout the hotel, which gives the whole property a unique and elegant atmosphere. The yoga studio was another great feature that made the stay feel even more peaceful and rejuvenating. A perfect place for a relaxing holiday on Vancouver Island — we would definitely stay again!

Room was clean and nice, enjoyed the restaurant, pool and hot tub were fantastic. Beautiful ocean view. As others have noted noise proofing is not great but it was pretty quiet during our stay luckily. The one thing that really negatively impacted my stay was the bed/mattress which was no good. After an overnight stay I am in pain which has lasted a couple days so far and counting. I would likely not stay again because of this.

Nice place to stay. Clean room, comfortable bed, delicious food in the restaurant, great coffee at the cafe. Beach access is real nice to have, and beautiful ocean view! Awesome to have a pet-friendly place to stay! They offered our pup a (house made) treat at the front desk when we checked in - great touch! Staff were super friendly and informative. Will definitely stay again!

Beautiful reno on the restaurant, clean bathrooms and lobby. Smells like the Bellagio in Vegas! Unfortunately, we didnt have a chance to try the food. We were greeted and sat , the hostess was lovely. Despite only being 7 occupied tables, and 2 servers, we waited about 8 min just for water, and about 15 in total to get a glass of wine. We noticed that none of the other tables were eating, and just finishing drinks, or were waiting like us. No food came out of the kitchen at all, we were there for an hour. Hoping this isn't a picture of regular service, this restaurant is beautiful and has great potential...Just not tonight. We decided halfway through to just get our bill and eat at another resort. We didnt feel like another 45 min wait on a salad, especially with the high end prices. Hoping to give this another chance, the views are beautiful and the atmosphere is lovely.

This might be one of my favourite hotels on the island. I booked directly with the hotel and it was much cheaper than any of the booking sites. The room was clean, quiet and had an ocean view. It had everything you need and more. Front desk staff was really helpful.

I organized a Board of Director retreat for a group of 12 professionals at the Bayside recently. From working with their team ahead of the two day event to the execution onsite the experience was great and exceeded my expectations. The meeting room was private and spacious and the in room foodservice was efficient and not disruptive. We also enjoyed the lounge and dining room offerings with great service. Both the catering and dining room menu options were great and everyone loved the food. The hotel rooms were lovely with great extra touches and incredible ocean views. I highly recommend. A shout out to the front desk for their hospitable (and funny) engagement, as well as Matt, Jamie and Naoko who I dealt with directly.

I have stayed in some high end hotels and please disregard the negative comments. Yes it’s an older building but they have done a wonderful job of renovating to make it feel like a high end hotel..which it feels like with the decor and the amenities in the room and the service right from the check in. The location and the views are amazing and what impresses me the most is the value. The prices are not unaffordable, and you have the most amazing location. Right at the ocean. The restaurant had a lovely menu and the service was amazing. As long as they continue to make it affordable I would very highly recommend this resort.

This was our third stay over the past few years. Beautiful location & excellent restaurant. Very quiet rooms with comfortable beds. Front desk staff we encountered were unfortunately quite unpleasant, which seems to be the case every time we stay.
