The Bayside Resort consistently receives positive feedback, particularly for its location, ocean views, and friendly staff. While some guests appreciate the recent renovations and value, concerns regarding noise levels and outdated building infrastructure have been raised. The hotel excels in providing a relaxing and accommodating experience, especially for longer stays and special occasions.
This might be one of my favourite hotels on the island. I booked directly with the hotel and it was much cheaper than any of the booking sites. The room was clean, quiet and had an ocean view. It had everything you need and more. Front desk staff was really helpful.
I organized a Board of Director retreat for a group of 12 professionals at the Bayside recently. From working with their team ahead of the two day event to the execution onsite the experience was great and exceeded my expectations. The meeting room was private and spacious and the in room foodservice was efficient and not disruptive. We also enjoyed the lounge and dining room offerings with great service. Both the catering and dining room menu options were great and everyone loved the food. The hotel rooms were lovely with great extra touches and incredible ocean views. I highly recommend. A shout out to the front desk for their hospitable (and funny) engagement, as well as Matt, Jamie and Naoko who I dealt with directly.
I have stayed in some high end hotels and please disregard the negative comments. Yes it’s an older building but they have done a wonderful job of renovating to make it feel like a high end hotel..which it feels like with the decor and the amenities in the room and the service right from the check in. The location and the views are amazing and what impresses me the most is the value. The prices are not unaffordable, and you have the most amazing location. Right at the ocean. The restaurant had a lovely menu and the service was amazing. As long as they continue to make it affordable I would very highly recommend this resort.
This was our third stay over the past few years. Beautiful location & excellent restaurant. Very quiet rooms with comfortable beds. Front desk staff we encountered were unfortunately quite unpleasant, which seems to be the case every time we stay.
The recent renovation at the Bayside is visually nice, and the rooms and common areas are clean with a great view, which is definitely a highlight. That said, despite the updates, the building itself still feels cheap and somewhat empty. The overall layout and atmosphere very much retain a 1970s motel vibe. The biggest downside for us was the noise. Every sound echoes through the rooms and hallways, making it far from the quiet getaway we were hoping for. It feels like a major opportunity was missed during the renovation—serious insulation would have made a world of difference. When we checked out and mentioned about the noise, the staff’s response about it made it clear they’re already aware of the issue and weren't offering empathy or apologies. The location is a bit odd, tucked behind the mini putt and slightly off the main path, which gives it a mildly sketchy feel rather than a cozy or destination-worthy one. Staff were reasonable and professional, but not particularly warm or hospitable. Food was unmemorable, though again, the view helps carry the experience. Pricing is fair for what you get—it’s decent value—but ultimately, we wouldn’t return. Not because it was terrible, but because for a bit more money, you could get a much better, quieter, and more polished experience elsewhere. In short: fine for a budget stay with a view, but not ideal if you’re looking for peace, charm, or a true getaway.
Great little place, great views and location. And great people. Just disappointed with the mattresses, they seem older because there is the hump in the middle of the mattresses and there are sharp brackets at the bottom of the beds that are a little dangerous. Also the indoor pool is closed and no notice was made available. We came here for the pool and its too cold to be in the outside pool. They could also change the doors to the rooms because they are not at all sound proof, you can hear everything from the halls. The people working here are awesome, super friendly the restaurant is good for breakfast and well priced.
Had such an amazing stay. The oceanfront room was absolutely AMAZING! Had sheer curtains as well as blackout ones, so was great for the ambiance as well as for sleeping in. The patio was absolutely gorgeous, as well as the interior. The AC was powerful for the hot days which many hotels lack these days. The pool was so gorgeous and the right temperature. Was so pleased with the coffee selection in the room + having creamer. Couldn't recommend this hotel more for a romantic stay, as well as for a professional stay as they have desks in the rooms. Thank you Bayside!
The location is gorgeous and the staff are friendly and helpful. The only reason I’m giving this a 2 star is how horrifyingly loud the rooms are. You can hear the person above you peeing. Anyone talking beside you, every footstep down the hall. Not worth the price tag.
I wanna say that Shannon has helped me exceedingly to make our reservations to my family’s requests. This will be our second time staying here and we are so excited to come back in the Summer. The most relaxing place to stay, a beautiful hotel and amazing staff.
Was there for lunch only. On Sundays, a very good pianist and singer was entertaining us throughout lunch. Very tasteful music which sometimes overtakes the convo, but he didn't. Was very happy to tip him. We all had eggs benedicts - crab cake, I highly recommend. My partner had the pulled pork which he really enjoyed. Great service! Young staff which was very sweet.
