This resort has rooms that are managaed by Ocean Sands and although it has eveidence of being here many years, is still kept in reasonably good condition. The ocean fron rooms are realy the nicest for the view and tranquility.

Our family has been coming here for 60 years, even before the current facilities were built. The location can’t be beat and the weather in summer is second to none. So many great memories here.

We had a great 1/2 week at Ocean Sands. These are individually owned units so they vary. Ours was 112, which was on the top floor facing the beach. This was a large 2 bedroom one washroom unit with I believe a king sized bed in one room and a double in the other. The king bed was claimed by our kids (lol) and they loved it, the other could have been a bit more comfortable but wasn't u comfortable by any means. Comfortable seating area, large TV and nice kitchen with dishwasher. There is no laundry in the unit. There is no AC which was a challenge as we happens on nice but unseasonably warm weather in Nuky 2025. One parking spot per unit. This unit had an electric BBQ on the balcony and the view was incredible especially at sunrise. The location was great, you're beach adjacent although the section of beach closer to Rathtrevor seemed "sandier" at entry and with fewer tide pools/shells/small areas of seaweed awhich can be a pronor con. The tide goes out forever and is something to behold. Our kids spent hours wandering the beach looking for crabs, sea dollars, then taking in the tide returning. It's incredible. It notably came in faster on this southern end of the beach. As with everything on the Island in high season the pricing is perhaps above what the amenities would convey, and here you're very much paying for spacious accommodations and the location. There's a small pool, a hot tub we didn't sell, and reasonably priced laundry. The stay would have been better with access to water implements for guests to sign out like SUPs or Kayaks/tubes/boogey boards and we left our boogey board. These are $50 to buy and can't fit in suitcases. Other resorts on the same beach at similar price point have these for guests. Rental bikes would be nice too. There is a basketball net which was nice. The location is excellent. Parksville is up the street, there are numerous restaurants, groceries, adult beverages, the great Parksville playground, mini golf and a bunch of fun day trips a short ride away. Would definitely recommend and hope improving amenities for guests relevant to the location to improve the stays of those in the future.

We just had the most incredible week at Ocean Sands Resort, the location couldn’t be better! We stayed in suite 310 & 310A which has been beautifully renovated and has a the most amazing view of the water. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Beautiful in all ways... location, views, service, and cleanliness! Comfortable beds and furniture. We wished we'd stayed for more nights, but plan to come back soon!

Great place for families. The open green grass area and pool were awesome. They also have a paved area for hockey/basketball. Park was a bit silly, only for 2 to 3 years Olds and the beach is accessible via a 5 min hike down a steep embankment. All the places are privately owned, so some are nicer than others, and I imagine the upstairs gets fairly hot with no AC. The resort was very quiet and close to all amenities via a short bike or car. We found this resort a bit expensive, so it may be worth looking at comparative ones as there's plenty to choose from all being side by side.

Very nice and peaceful resort. Near many cool locations in Parksville and we had a great view of the beach. Units were very clear and comfortable and pricing is very fair. I would highly recommend this resort for any families.

What a lovely resort just a short walk to the beach. Our two bedroom upper condo was quiet, clean, modern and well equipped. The king bed was so comfortable with lovely linens. We enjoyed sitting outside in the balcony which looked over the pool with the ocean view behind. Late check in was arranged for us which we really appreciated.

Stayed in 310. Pros: the view!! Best view I’ve ever had in a room while travelling. Unit was very large with great AC and a very comfortable bed. Cons: resort feels a bit shabby/worn down. This was evident in the area with the hot tub (paint peeling on walls, dated look), the musty towels, some of the furniture in our room (very cracked/peeling arms on the leather armchair), broken curtains. Also the building is not very soundproof - we could hear our upstairs neighbours bumping around whenever they were in. Unfortunately I don’t think we would stay again unless they did some more updates and we booked a top floor
