This was the most affordable option and sometimes you expect to get what you pay for. This place was renovated, had all the amenities, plus free family activities next door. Also the towels were SO SOFT!!! My boys loved them. We definitely got more than what we paid for. Thank you!!!

Typical two star hotel. They try to give you value by giving free mini golf. If you're looking for something like an ironing board or an iron, you're going to be out of luck. Apparently there's two for the entire hotel and somehow I was told they're, "In for repairs." which is just a blatant lie. Just tell us you don't have them. Who in their right mind is repairing a $20 iron. Only worth $150 a night tops if you are paying more just go somewhere else.

Why spend extra money in Nanaimo?? This is cheaper and just down the road. The staff were very helpful and delightful to talk to. Surprisingly, we two old motorcycle buddies really had a blast at the complementary mini putt next door! So much competition! I'd stay there again.

Newly renovated and beautiful. Amazing location. There is also a really nice BBQ/outdoor area. Lovely staff and super helpful. 5 stars on all accounts!

We didn’t have a phone in the room to call receptionist for meal and attraction ideas, and our room tucked away a bit opposite end of lobby but we didn’t mind the seclusion. Receptionist was extremely helpful. Loved the fire pits, free mini golf and beach access. Would stay here again!

Relatively clean and tide. Pretty basic rooms, definitely missing any "wow" factor. If you just need a place to rest your head though it'll do the job! They do have a nice outside public lounging area with a BBQ for general use, so thats nice. And theres a mini putt golf course across the street for some fun.

The room was clean, the recipionist was very friendly and helpful. Free popcorn and coffee. The beds were comfortable but the one thing that we didn't like was the coffee machine, it has some mold in it and it wasn't cleaned properly ( shown in picture ) , other than that our stay went smoothly and free parking!

Im giving "the tide's inn" five stars all around because I felt i got what I paid for. my room had one queen size bed and all the extras you would expect, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, etc. The room wasn't extravagant and had signs of many travelers, scuffs on walls and floors, but it was clean and well cared for. Very happy with my visit.

Worst experience! We booked a dog friendly, ground floor kitchette room. Got a confirmation email of quoted price. When we arrived, we found out our room was up a set of rickety stairs. Smelled musty and our kitchenette was a single hot plate in the cupboard!! The room beneath us seemed to be some sort of flop house with a number of people coming and going!? Our bill was $300 more than quoted in our confirmation email. The pet fee was also double what we were quoted! When we pointed this out, they said oh well!! They already had our credit card and ran it through! We asked for a refund and showed them our confirmation email. They shrugged their shoulders, said they didn't know who told us this and refused the refund! Bad way of doing business!

Worst place I have ever stayed. I had to change rooms due to a chemical smell that was making it hard for me to breathe. Went from a 2 Queen bed with kitchenette to one bed with no kitchenette and I have been fighting them for a refund for the downgrade for over a month. No deadbolt that you can lock when you leave, walls are paper thin. I would gladly pay extra to stay anywhere else in Parksville than ever stay here again. The staff at the desk were good to deal with, my complaint is with the owners/managers.
